    Karen Colville stage name Karena Louise is a recognized Artist Vocalist and Song Writer in the independent music industry. Country and traditional country is a return to her rural roots.

    She is originally from rural Ontario, in between Toronto and Ottawa, with music in the greater Toronto area and art shows in Ontario and Montreal Quebec, Canada. Karen in recent years, became a part of the Vancouver  arts, music scene and in Visual Art in British Columbia.

     Karen has also recorded smooth jazz, folk music  and won artist of the year on radio stations. You can find her music on Spotify and you can support her music on Bandcamp.

      Karen participates in music festivals and  music gatherings.  Karen has also won numerous awards for her creative music video presentations within the independent film industry international. Karen has participated in music appreciation gatherings as recent as Concurrence, Heart of the City festivals.

    In earlier times, Karen was with the CCMA as a member, a long standing member of SOCAN, she also has performed back up singing for many Artists. Karen also visited on Music Row and was a member of the Nashville Song Writers association. She also studied lyric writing with Pat Pattison of Berklee Music and she attended many music education conferences presented by the commercial music industry.

    A recent member of the Vancouver Adapted Music Society in support is a non-profit that helps musicians with disabilities, operating Canada's only fully wheelchair-accessible recording studio. Karen has also recorded with Artists of the DTES in support of community development and is associated with a Women's specific charity. She also supports a Church music project.

     

    Through out the years Karen has engaged in Visual Art and  is collected by private collectors and has had many public exhibits. There are occasions where multi media is used for presentations that support the music. Karen Colville is a creative, she uses her skills and talent to connect with people in community.
